A Future Fulfilled

  • Calgarians have made the right mayoral choice.
  • Alberta had led the nation in economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • The Greenline LRT is well on its way to completion on time and on budget.
  • The Event Centre is completed, booked for concerts, festivals and the flames are catching heat in their new arena.
  • Ward 10 has renewed trust in City Council because Tony Dinh has listened to the constituency as City Councillor.
  • Downtown vacancies have steadily dropped.
  • More tech jobs than ever and they are filling vacated spaces.
  • The film industry is experiencing year-over-year growth – sub-business are happier than in recent memory.
  • Locals are joining as film extras.
  • Tourism is experiencing growth as a result of the film sector.
  • Calgary remains the most livable city in North America.
  • Calgary has closed the gap on the 15,000 units short of affordable housing.
  • People are having young families again.
  • Tech headquarters are choosing Calgary for its livability.

Economic Recovery

  • Now is the time to create Jobs and future-centric career opportunities.
  • Plan for the future; focus on a municipal infrastructure we can work with for many years to come.
  • Advocate for equitable development – Investments that produce economical benefits to our city.
  • Introduce localized tax Incentives for small business.

Cultural Diversity

  • Stand-up for Freedom of Assembly and combat local misinformation.
  • Re-establish a sense of security within our communities, and advocate for freedom of expression.
  • Advocate cultural integralization – the act to bringing our diversity into the form of an entire society as one function.
  • Promote cultural strengths, higher-level of integration, residential planning; support multiple cultures vs prevent cultures cliques.

Fiscal Responsibility

  • It’s not a revenue problem, it’s a spending problem.
  • Stephen avenue sounds like a want vs a need. City’s proposed plans is out of focus, untimely and very expensive. There is a better time to look at 8th Ave renovations.
  • City’s olympic bid is wasteful and untimely.
  • Re-evaluate the New Arena failed plans and budgets.
  • Hold on public libraries expansion and investment plans – incredibly expensive.
  • Demand accountability on wasteful spend in meaningless Art projects, i.e. the ‘Big Blue Ring’.
  • Prioritize Green Line Segment One – Stage One.
  • Demand transparency government spending and decision making.

Reinvesting In Community

  • Advance creative development and Universal Design and Planning.
  • Reinvest in access to Small Business; support a healthy balance of traditional vs. online shopping experience.
  • Upgrade parks and cricket pitches.
  • Prioritize gaps in current Ward 10 amenities.

Municipal Tax Freeze

  • Let’s re-evaluate taxes. Municipal taxes have been increasing with no sign of slowing down.
  • Our Downtown is built for a city four times (4x) our population.
  • Demand better tax planning and more transparency on spending.

Growing Tech & Film Industry

  • Promote and build to produce the next unicorns.
  • Develop programs as grass roots tech talent.
  • Promote what our City has to offer for a work-life balance; support Alberta national resources, parks, and mountains.
  • Drive awareness and transparency on resource, programs and grants available for new industry.
  • Connect with other cities for collaboration.
  • Initiate and promote Smart Government initiatives and projects.
  • Creating opportunities for start-ups to work with Government, and not award the same contracts to the same established company year-after-year.
  • Attract new Tech companies; tech firms go where talent is available.
  • Advocate policies that support the city’s entrepreneurial network, and capital investment.
  • Municipal can encourage provincial; collaborate with innovative programs across the province.
  • Plan and execute on Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure.
